This piece of bacon even looks like Kentucky:
Picked up a pound of jowl bacon yesterday at the Lexington Farmer’s Market (yesterday was first day of the season!). It was devoured by the lot of us and declared the best bacon we’d ever tasted. Raised in Lancaster, Kentucky, the hogs are pasture raised without hormones and antibiotics by the Contini family at Hillside Heritage Farm.
